I'd have to say, not just because I own one, but the 1980-1986 just have my vote all the way. They have a boxy build, but yet still hold class and style. I love any and all Ford trucks, I haven't seen one yet that I haven't liked really, but the '80-'86 have always been appealing to me.

No offense anyone, but Ford hasn't built a half-ton I really like for a decade now...

I know what you mean, I was never an earlier Ford truck person, but the 2 I would own in a heartbeat is a early (real) bronco and the original XLT Ranger which was a full size truck.

I really like the 75 to 77.5 front end. They just look nice and clean. Anything else I could give or take, except for the 97 & up trucks. You can keep those.
