Not all LED's are....you need to test them or see what the manufacturer sez.

That is quite a difference. I like the heater control panel, but I also think the cluster would be too much, without dimming capability.

Does the LED change the color of the heater panel from green to blue?

No, it comes out to be whatever color led you add. I just chose blue because if I do it to my 77" I wanted to see the look. I may try yellow for my 75 next.

These particular lights I don't know if they dim, the brand is pilot automotive flexible lights.

Well got my drilled and slotted rotors, got them installed and they work.

After being sent the wrong rotors, The vendor got the correct ones. He actually say he machines the blanks. If anyone is interested I have yet to find anyone else who carries 78-79 F-250 2WD Drilled and slotted rotors. They have them for the 1/2 both 2 and 4wd. they also have them available for the 4wd F-250 and 350, but no one to date has had these, till now. Please correct me if I am wrong, I could not find anyone. If there are people interested in these, I told him I would let the forums know if there is any interest in a mass buy. Originally we tried the 80-96 E250 dual piston van rotors and they did not fit, same dia. and thickness, but the bearing positioning was wrong. Also got my West Coast Turbines installed and am mocking up the new taller front coils to lift the front up a bit.

Those coils should make a difference. Love the turbines on there. I have a 75 f250 2wd that I would love those style of rotor. How much are they to have made?

Used the 75 today to get my camper out of storage. It's about 7000 lbs, 33ft long. Truck did pretty well except on gassmilieFordlogo . IDK, the engine temp runs 210 with the load and without never below 195 even with new thermostat, new big radiator, fan clutch and coolant. On the hottest days, it may run 220 at the hottest. I think it's a bit warm, but not sure what else to do except run it.

What temp t-stat are you running? You might try a 180 if you're using the 195.

Thx for the praise guys, make me wanna go outside and install the old school round tube chrome grill. Alas I was called in to work and I had to get the Mercury smogged by today(got that done , worked called me 5x while I was at the shop), mamas 300c Srt-8 decided not to want to take her to work( turns out a plastic park detent is a common culprit( ordered a billet version I found and am having it sent overnight$$$) that will require me to tear the shifter to change this obviously intended to wear out part(but it will have to wait till Saturday night as I have to work the next 2 days too! Had to take her to work to. Did not get to take the SC to the alignment shop as get to a neutral camber so I don't look bow legged ; ) you know what I mean. I am running around(parts store and back only) without shocks and it is not bad the thicker gauge wire and load capacity is keeping bounce to a minimum almost unnoticeable but and not doing anything that is stressing things out yet! Gave it an extra almost 3" lift and nearly leveled it with the rear , these are variable rate something I really wanted and gotta say I had Summit price beat Jegs and I got them for under $90 shipped, no one could touch that price locally or otherwise. Got the LED headlights installed, they are at best on par with the HIDS, but their claim to fame is even less current draw and almost lifetime service life(we will see). I am thinking of going with a King remotes in a 2.5 version as I don't think I can fit a 3.0 in the stock space. 2.5 may even be pushing it. Anyone ever install dual shocks on these 2wd, the tower has the upper hole and I thought could make a double shear lower bracket from a donated extra stock shock bracket and longer lower bolt(L9 of course). Also anyone know if the longer 4wd stainless steel braided brake lines work on the 2wd? If I can go off the shelf on a few items it sure helps with not having to do a detailed search. Also has anyone installed a steering stabilizer on the 2 wd? It can be easily done just wanted feedback on it. I usually have Doetsch(Formely DoeschTech) built my stabilizers, They are billet aluminum and rebuildeable(cool looking too and under $130 shipped no mount though). To answer the ? on the rotors I am using, I got them for $160 not sure if he can do better if there is enough interest in a mass buy( wouild assume he would want at least 20 sets to make it worth his time. I'm in for at least 2 more sets for the future and next possible build. I also have in the works the rear disc install and I may have him supply matching rotors for that kit for the D60 too. I am also wanting to try a dropped pitman arm just to see if I notice any difference, anyone here install one other than by chance or what came on the truck or a steering box find at the salvage yard? Can anyone confirm or deny if the bright trim that goes behind the cab( 2 styles I have seen the thicker( I think 4 piece trim) and the thinner (2 piece type) If either will fit the 79. I scored the thinner type but am in search of the thicker as I like how it looks better? OK start Blasting for the friggin Dissertation I just posted!

New moog variable rate coils installed(slight bow as you can see.

SCSB done with the lift and brake install. pretty even with rear and almost a 3" again in height, needs an alignment even though it rides and steers well.

This shows stock old coil with a mid 80's 2wd lower coil spacer gave it a 1.25" but it gave just shy of thye + camber I have with the new taller coils so I decide to go BIG if I need to bend the I-beams anyway, for those that need just a hair, these work!

Today before I went to work, I had put new upper and lower tailgate bumpers on my Dent . My lower bumpers were the upper tailgate bumpers for a 2000 on up F-150 and Super Duty, and my upper bumpers were originally the bottom tailgate bumpers for a 2007 Chevy Colorado. And everything worked with very little modification, just had to make the existing holes bigger for all of them, and for the new lower bumpers a couple of sheet metal screws. But Chevy parts on a Ford, Blasphemy, but hey they worked for what I needed them for. But I no longer have a rattling tailgate, thanks to newer Ford parts and a couple of Chevy parts.smilieFordlogo smilieFordlogo smilieFordlogo smilieFordlogo

Went to the Salvage yard and found my Bedliner

Been wanting a drop in bedliner . Found and bought an actual Ford embossed liner installed already.

^^^by the few posts I've posted above, you guys probably can't tell that I'm excited that 1) the weather is nice enough to actually pull these rigs out of hibernation FINALLY and 2) that I can finally enjoy tooling around town in this gas guzzling show rigs!
