A Sweeeet Find Choptop! Congrats! Love the tow rig as well!! My 79 came from the west also (Arizona) seems thats where all the good body's are located these days...

To fix leaks, or just fill back, in roof gutter-rails SEM 39387
self leveling seam sealer has been recommended.

Any better recommendations out there in FTF land? :)

I will never buy another truck east of Texas again.
If you'd let me know we could've plopped a '75 Super Cab on there too. ;)
Prob'ly not, but if you went down I-10 past Bowie AZ you drove right by it...

Saw this for the first time since I've owned it.

It was great to take it on its first longer than 30 second drive in 20 years and fill 'er up!

Drove the Broncothe last 3 days to work...always reminds me how much I miss driving them...until I realize it's $35/day to drive them. With work being so much closer to home in a few days, oughta offer ample opportunity for them to get out to stretch their legs...and give me more time to work on them.

Finished up a few things. She is registered for the first time since I bought her in 2011. :)

Pulled the shafts out to clean and inspect. Those inner shafts are pretty big in diameter!

After soaking in solvent overnight, I scrubbed all the old grease and grime out, then packed the needle bearing with new grease. I didn't even know there was a bearing and thrust washer back there. Glad I decided to disassemble everything.

New brakes up front.

Successfully soldered my fuel float closed. No more basing it off of how much sloshing I hear behind my seat, haha.

I would love to Restore all these parts with new paint. Decided not to bother due to the fact that it would take a lot longer, and I'm using it like a truck is meant to be used, so who cares.

Thanks for looking.

Installed an edelbrock performer manifold and holley carburetor. Really bringing this truck alive!
