Chris put a untinted tail light on one side then take a picture with someone holding the brake on. Then post it.
Around here they right tickets for the little bars on brush guards that are in front of head lights and anything in or on the tail lights.

I would like to see them lit up also.

fyi they do look good,but always check with the local authorities before installing tinted light covers.some states do not permit them or want them removed at dusk.in an accident situation it can be used against you regardless how visible the lights are.this information was advised to me by a state highway patrol officer in Ohio.I had them on my former Mustang for show purpose only.

yeah in australia if someone run into the back of you, regardless if its their fault and you have them tinted taillights you be up for the bill of both vehicles.

Sorry but that looks tacky. I would get replacements or clear taillights with the black housing. Actually stockers look best on ur truck, keeps it looking clean.

It looks weird with the brake lights on. Something isn't even on both sides.
 
I would assume that a LEO could taake this anywhere he/she wanted.

In Tennessee, the vehicle code 55-9-402. states:
Lights required on motor vehicles….
(b) (1) Every motor vehicle shall be equipped with two (2) red tail lamps ….and two (2) red stop lights on the rear of ...............
