The more I look at my block, the more expensive it gets. So far I need a new camshaft and lifters, complete gasket set, new rings, new bearings, and possibly either larger valves, or some work on my valve guides.

Have you talked to Tim (TMI) ?...his prices for the components are less that the the big name places, plus you get to talk to someone that knows his ****.

I have a set of cam bearings I will give you for free if you want as I went with the later available grooved ones.

Nope, not yet. I plan on giving him a ring when I get serious about this build. Serious for me is knowing I have a good block to start with, and I'm not quite at that point yet.

As for those cam bearings, I'm very interested in them.

If you want them, they are yours..I doubt I'd be able to get $20 out of them and I would rather help someone out than deal with selling them.

Nope, more like a bunch of go fast parts for my 6.4 or a new 6.7.

Silly girls, real trucks don't have sparkplugs. :hammer:

Silly Lester, real diesels don't need tuners to make power.

Yeah, I hear ya, only if the big 3 would put a real diesel engine in a light pickup. Sadly, none of them will make HP without one. All the 6.4 needs is a tuner to turn off the regen. Just a set of turbos and injectors will outpace GM and Dodge. (if all you give them is the same)

About the same as the others once you go all in...$25-3000.

That's not to bad, I like the kiss simplicity of it..
