Can i take the cats off?

Which if you read the annotations to, might seem familiar. :rofl:

And if it's fuel injected and older removing the cats probably won't matter. My Ranger for example had an O2 sensor before the cats, but not after, so if you removed them, the truck wouldn't have known the difference. I think the Ford post-cat sensors came with OBD-2, but don't quote me on that.

Not that I've thought about it or anything, But I know a guy that gutted a cat and ran a straight pipe through it, spot welding the cat shell on to make it look like it was part of the exhaust system. It runs fine and sounds great, and it is fuel injected.

All sorts of people do that here in California. I would too, but Im not sure that I would still pass on the numbers... :(

Yup, i dont think there will be a problem, so im taking them off this summer.

usuall most states say every vehical after 1983 has to have the cats so if im right ur stuck w em
