Austin's 89 Bronco

The AODE was never put into the Bronco...perhaps not even in the light trucks at all with the Econoline being the only possible exception I can think of. The AOD preceded the E4OD in the F-series line and actually both were options for a short time in very late 1989 through 90-91. But by 92 the sole automatic listed was the E4OD.

That's what I was thinking, C6 was available behind the small blocks until 88/89 or so as well, right? I've never even heard of an AOT????

AOT is what it is listed as at the parts store when I get my trans kit. The AODE was never in Bronks/FSeries just was saying that its the same case and still lives on today. And in the late 80's and early 90's you could get a AOD or a E4OD in your truck. My bosses 90 F350 7.3L has the E4OD, but my buddys 90 F150 has the AOD

Ha we will never know, i can say ived changed a bunch of trans lol

Wrong, my 95 Flareside had an AODE.

By 95 the E4OD was the ONLY auto Ford was putting in the light trucks. Sorry, its verifiable through Ford' own database. Swaps aren't unheard of though.

Umm, a one owner truck...the previous being a 70 year old man with 80k miles on the original plugs, wires cap and rotor? I don't think so. Sorry, databases can be flawed. I know what was in that truck, I serviced it regularly and know that truck inside and out.

^^^ You pay for air fare, and I'll bring my services. :D

Finished off the entire rear section today (minus the upper part), and I'm amazed at the scratches that came out of the white paint.

Didn't touch the door; you can see the difference in the white paint.

Austin...next time you come up this way...I got a job for you. I can never seem to find the time to bust out the buffer, and it looks like you do a really good job. So are you free Christmas Eve...I want my rigs to look their best before everyone comes to the house...haha.

Went to start up the Bronco today and got nothing... 12 volts at the battery. What next?

I would suspect battery...it should read higher than 12V just sitting there, I assume it has been sitting for some time?
Have you checked your battery cables and connections?
