Figured I would start an official build thread on the crew. The front clip has been removed and disassembled and I decided to remove the top end of the 460 that had been transplanted into who knows how long ago and as I suspected it is a reman. All cylinders are rusted up and No. one cylinder...

So I figured to give me some motivation on getting the crew cab started I would start with a dash and get it all sand blasted, body work, primed and painted. Here is the start of my process, forgot to take a pic of the dash as it was.

I know we have all seen the first all digital dash for these trucks but they have come out with a new one with actual needle gauges, looks really sexy and fits the dash style better, granted they are a little more money but you have to pay if you wanna play.
I have got a new 1978 f250 extra cab 2wd with a factory tilt steering column that i probably wont use so if anyone is interested in buying it let me know and shoot me an offer, would like to see it go to a good home and get used. I will get some pictures up here shortly.
I was watching counting cars the other night and one of the workers suggested using a 3D printer to make some new red tail lamps, could you imagine in a few years when people have these in there homes and being able to re-produce your own plastic parts for these trucks..Just a thought.smilieFordlogo

I have looked all over and I can't seem to find a manual for the 7.3 that shows the complete tear down and rebuild on these engines. any help would be awesome ....smilieFordlogo
I some how acquired a 1964 f100 short bed that is sitting on a 1996 ford explorer chassis with a 4.0 fuel injected v6. Everything is there, wiring harness, fire wall etc, this explorer has power everything and it was all removed and kept for this truck. My wife has orders to Korea for a year...
I want to paint up the front plastic pieces of the grille shell and I am going to try that cheap single stage paint from the parts store, the dupli-color and see if it is worth a $h!t and hope it comes out good. step 1 I will was the plastic inserts with soapy water and let dry. 2 I will scuff...
