How long will everyone wait between driving the truck? Or phrased another way how long are you willing to let your truck sit without starting the engine?Any tips or tricks to use after the truck has been sitting idle?
Makerbot has one coming out for $1,375 (http://store.makerbot.com/replicator-mini)Also, there are also services like shapeways that will do the 3d printing for you (adding their premium to the price). They also have places where you can connect with a 3d designer. For truck pieces though...
So do you guys think it's worth the extra spend to buy a unit that will maintain the look?http://www.classiccarstereos.com/product/1973-1979_Ford_Pickup_Truck_Radio/CAM-FD3_9PU-630.html
http://www.retrosoundusa.com/products/details/id/331I'd like having the new features of a recent car...
My FM tuner died this week, it won't lock onto a signal and when I try to search it completely freezes. Oddly the AM still works. I'm thinking I will need to get a new stereo and was wondering who here has already replaced theirs. Would love to hear recommendations and if you have already...
http://greensboro.craigslist.org/cto/4105720537.htmlI don't often see Generation 6 trucks in my area (lots of gen 5), might be why this one seems to be priced high.
Mine doesn't run at all, been wondering how hard it would be to replace. Thanks for the time estimate.Any tips you would have? Where did you get the new parts?
Took a lowes run for some plants, definitely working the truck hard. :)I was able to avoid having to do any towing as my dad just picked up a new tacoma, his new truck can do the heavy lifting, while mine does the random household project and tailgating.
I don't get a sense of unease driving it, but I did sign-up for AAA with their extended tow package, so maybe I just feel safe knowing it won't cost me a dime if I need it towed back to the house.
That's awesome. Sounds like it's going to be well taken care of from here on out. Definitely more than I asked, but I like hearing what others are doing to restore/improve their trucks. Helps inspire me on doing the same.
I'd like to tow U-Haul trailer and perhaps a light boat with my new truck. Since it's new to me I want to ensure it's tow ready, any thoughts on what I should check to ensure no problems. I've already looked over the brakes and they seem to be in good shape, any other major concerns?
I can never seem to find a car with over 100,000 "original" miles. Might be because the odometer rolls over. :suspicious: Honestly thought, does anyone believe the seller when they purport a low number of "original miles" on a car 25+ years old?
Finally got around to changing the oil for the first time, and it's a good thing. The oil looked old. Given the condition I feel like I better start changing the other fluids.
That plastic was definitely brittle and decayed, but the replacement is in. Looks much better:Special shout out to amkatt1! He definitely made me feel welcome here.
