I'm looking to buy the perches to mount my 400 engine. I'm replacing the 302 perches.

I got the axle under the back now. Slowly but surely it is coming together.

This is for the 69 F100 to clear it up.

I have to weld new perches for the leaf spings on the axle I bought. I measured the distance at 40 inches. I want to be absoluteley positive that is correct. Anyone ever measure the distance before? If not, could one of you measure it and let me know?

smilieIagree It sounds like a fuel problem to me as well. Start with the least expensive first.

It looks like the picture of the F150 axle with the mud on it. It slopes upward toward the pumpkin top.

Yep, definetly missing. This axle was supposed to be from a 77 F150.

I did some internet surfing and couldn't find an original or repop of this. Anyone run across a place? As you can see, this has seen better days.

So, that is the same stuff used on plastic headlights. I didn't think it would be good on really old plastic. I'll give it a try and see if the edge of the cluster will whiten again.

I don't know what you see, Bill. I found where a tag was probably broken off. Mil1ion, looks to be broken off from your diagram.

No tag. The only other thing writing was D2SWC with T underneath it.

I'll degrease the case tonight so I can see things easier. I was looking for an actual metal tag attached to it.

I only hope the axle I bought fits properly. I am not all into gear ratio and all that. I'll check for numbers but there isn't a tag anymore.

Are the 300's easier to find? I find plenty of 302's.

I didn't realize how difficult it would be to find a straight 6 240 motor. If I can't get the one I planned for then this would be my other choice.:headbang:

I think he meant than other types of axles.

I picked up an axle for my F100. My son said it was one of the better 9 inch axles. Any input guys?
