Is it possible that you left a oil gallery plug out somewhere inside the engine? I just rebuilt mine and cold at idle i'm running 75psi cold and 38psi warm at idle with a standard volume oil pump. Did you check your bearing clearances when it was rebuilt?
I agree it is pricey but the thing I like about it is that it has a built in tach and I just have the idiot light and it comes with a oil pressure gauge/sender so I could clean up my dash by getting rit of a water, oil, and tach gauges.
The other thing is I'm in canada and none of the places I...
My backing plate is rotten and falling apart has anyone tried one of the replacements? I see there available at NPT, LMC, dennis carpenter, classic auto parts and bronco graveyard.

Well I ended up dropping the tank and got about a gallon and a half of the dirty gas out of it. There was quite a bit of the same stuff I found in the carb in the tank and I tried pouring it through a kim tuff towel but it would go right through. Truck runs good now with the rebuilt carb and...
Don't think I haven't thought about it! Mines only a f100 so it would be a lot of weight on the front end that is what holds be back. I still got a cummins to get my diesel fix!
The truck was parked for about one year but the carb was removed drained and has been in the garage. there was some gummy stuff on the inlet filters and I have chaged a few fuel filters. I've only owned the truck for 2 years and only drove it for one but it never seemed quite right. I'm thinking...
This is what I found in my carb bowls, I couldn't get the truck to idle correctly so I pulled the carb and this is what I found once it's dried out its just like a powder.
I don't see why not the only wires on my c6 (1979 model though) are for the neutral saftey switch which would go to the clutch pedal I would think.. Of course you well need the clutch pedal and stuff.just my 2 cents
The truck is just my toy. Just want something fun to drive around. Iam planning on a 2600stall converter. surewhynot I here what you are saying mite be a bit on the high side for cam choice. flareside_thunder I well for sure check the P-V clearance. Thanks guy's
