it's the old school method of cleaning carbonyeah you do it like you would seafoam and let it set a while to soak into the carbon then run it spirited till it stops smoking, got to be carefull with the water and controll the amount going in it is also supposed to help "steam" the carbon out
ended up running some tranny fluid and water through it smelled like burining carbon for the past couple days. ping is goneguess the seafoam is just snake oil.but i do have a exhaust leak now so guess ill have some duals put on itsmilieeatndrink
I didnt write the numbers down I used our snap on scanner at work and it gives the code Definition when it reads .and yes I cleared the codes several times.rescanned it today and had a EGR position code so i replaced the EGR and sensor.

Well as of lately my truck (302/AOD) has developed a pretty heavy detonation under a load (OD acelleration under 60 and low speed passing and WOT) Ive tried several differant stations and grades of fuel (87-93) and with ethanol and without problem remains the same,Tried disconnecting the air...
Well,As a few of you guys know my 74 maverick has a harness and ECM from a 1990 E250 van.the bottom end ended up being a mustang or warranty replacment long block (TRW forged pistons) so im unsure if it has a truck roller ca or h.o mustang cam.A few weeks back I took it to the drag strip to see...
guess maybe new front springs will be the only way to go i just feel it sits unusually high in the rear this is before i put the shackles on I havent had a chance to take new ones smilieeatndrink
I used some 4" belltech drop shackles for a chevy truck to try to level my truck up as it sits rear high. I had to trim off the top bolt holes for them to clear the bed floor so there about 3" longer then the stockers. But it doesnt seem to sit any lower to me. any other ideas?

When I have the a/c on I get a surging/skip feeling from the truck not rpm dependent. It's got 92k miles I just done a full major tune up plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, air filter, cleaned the TB also.
1990 302/AOD truckRuns great with the a/c off but has this problem with it on.
