See that's just it, the Truck didn't have driveshafts when I got it. I'm working with measurements. As far as the fan blade goes, its got some space, enough to fit a boot in between them sideways. but the fan blade is also slightly offset.
I have an 05 f-150 that suddenly decided after going over a rough set of tracks that it would no longer go forward, but reverse works fine. what would cause this? I've seen a few things but none of them quite make any sense because of the circumstances that this happened.
sorry, I thought I said what the motor and trans was in original post. The truck originally had the 351c and a 4 speed manual. Now it has the 351m with a C6 transmission. its an 86 F1-50 Single Cab long bed.
Does anyone have any links or any reccomendations on an off road bumper with a winch point for these trucks? I'm wanting to start building my truck and step one is a bumper.
So I Have a 86 F-150 and it has a motor and transmission from a 79 F250. I'm having difficulties locating a driveshaft that will fit. I bought the truck as a roller and I'm building it. I have to replace the transmission but that won't change the length of the driveshaft needed. I measured and...
The thing that doesn't make sense was that I shortened the hose between the fuel filter and carb and it ran like a dream. Then the next day it didn't!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah. It's got a bunch of major work to be done to it. Like C6 transmission and driveshafts. But I want to get the engine stable and running with charging capabilities before I get into more expensive things.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I really have no idea about anything on this truck. I bought it off a friend who was got it the same day he sold it to me. I'm pretty sure the motor sat and I'm also sure that nothing was changed on it once it was put in the 86 body. Its a whole mess of headaches but once I get into it, Itll...
its a holley 4 barrel with a tag from MotorCraft but i'm not seeing anything else to identify. I've been thinking of an EdelBrock for it. Its got so many issues in it already. its a 79 351m bored out to 400. that was placed into an 86 F150.
I don't know what else might be causing the issue then. unless the fuel pump is malfunctioning. but the inline filter is filling up like You would expect with the fuel pump functioning properly.
I'm also having an issue since this motor came from a 79 F-250 and was put into a 86 F-150. I have it able to run as long as I have my foot on gas. But it doesn't idle under its own power and I don't have any alternator wires for the motor. I had someone suggest using a one Wire alternator but I...
The fuel pump is in good condition. It's actually daily new. Previous owner put an in line clear fuel filter between pump and carb.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
See that's the thing, I can't get it to stay running long enough to warm up. It acts like it's not getting enough fuel. Are these motors supposed to have fuel pressure regulators? I'm not sure. I'm new to the Ford scene. I'm used to working on Mopars.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have a 351 Modified that will start up but not stay running, It seems like a fuel delivery issue but I am not sure. I've not worked on a motor older than 1987.
Hi, My name is Rob. I just recently bought an 86 F150 that im building from the ground up. has a 351 bored out to 400 from a 1979 F250. I've been running into small problems here and there, since this is my first Ford.
