Well, if it has been swapped, someone has done a awesome job. Because the spring perches haven't been relocated that I can tell. Looks like the original rivets in them. I'm still leaning toward a special order of some kind. I'm still digging for the answer, and I'll get to the bottom of it...
Well mine is definitely a spare tire carrier on the pass. side just in front of the rear tire. The wheelbase is also 140 inches(as opposed to 133 on a regular 8 foot bed).
Well, I guess I have an odd-ball then. A 1973 f-100 with the extended wheel-base and spare-tire carrier in the bed side. Nothing has been modified or adapted that I can tell. Must have been a special order or something.

I measured my bed, and it is a 8ft. bed inside. wheelbase is 144 inches. It sure looks longer though. The only badges left on it are the ones on rear quarter fender that says Custom. Just picked this truck up from someone that was about to scrap it. 390 motor and base model interior. I'm just...
Hi everyone, newbe here. I was just looking for some answers myself. I just bought a 1973 F-100 with a bed-side spare tire carrier. Also it has only one rear gas tank but has a (dummy) filler cap mounted forward of the well-well drivers side. Now the question I have is, why don't I have the...
