Need some advice please. 1994 f250 4X4, 460 V8
Truck ran fine last night. Started up this a.m. and drove forward. Put it in reverse and it immediately started running rough and chugging. I nursed it a bit and the emgine smoothed out and ran fine again. But the Overdrive light was flashing=trans...
I have an intermittent no start problem on my 92 F250 4X4. 351W, 4EOD.Here's the story:
The starter turns over strong. When I use the truck daily, it usually starts right up. If it sits for a week, it might not. After I walk away for a time, then it will. Past weekend, I couldn't get it to...

So I'm not giving away any major voltage or current by hooking to the batt rather than the alt?
I'm OK with charging both as long as the aux doesn't drain the main - as I understand it, the solenoid switch prevents that.
"The + terminal with engine sunning will only be 7-9 Volts because of the resister in the wirings"Would a solenoid connected directly to alternator output yield significantly higher charge to aux battery than the solenoid connected to pos terminal of truck battery?I want the truck batt to...
I was planning on running a ground wire from aux batt and another from the solenoid directly to the frame. That way, the only truck wiring I'll be relying on is the switched ignition. Thanks for you help on this. I'll be looking for the wiring diagram, when you can get to it.
