2008 F350 5.4l
While I was removing the passenger side exhaust manifold I stupidly notched out the sheet metal on the engine mount bracket to fit my stud remover onto the bottom of #3 port.
Is that a structural piece or a heat shield for the mount?
I know I messed up but just need to know if I...
I have a 2008 F350 5.4l. It says 5/07MFG on the door sticker.
I wanna change the plugs and the boots. 120k miles on it now. When I look up my vin# to check the OEM part I get 2 different plug numbers. 509 and 546.I have the black boots if that helps. Just wanna know which plugs to...
Just an update. The External filter that sits in front of the pan was easy peasy to replace. Took my time and cleaned off all the fittings and wire brushed them. You have to use 2 wrenches. One on the fitting attached to the filter and one for the line. I was worried that I would lose a lot...
Hello Forum, I wanted to make anyone aware that doesn't know, this is a potential killer.I stepped on the brakes to put the truck in park and I heard a pop and the brake pedal felt like it broke and went to the floor. Put it in park, popped the hood and saw brake...
dustybumpers - What did you do to remedy this? Could it be a vacuum leak somewhere else? I haven't checked all the hoses yet. strange how it started after installing the Rancho 9000 series front shocks.
I did the pedal press down test. Engine off and press pedal a few times till pedal was hard and kept pressure on it, then started the engine and the pedal went down.
Any other things to check. I looked over vac lines which all seemed ok.
Possible the caliper has just crapped out?

How can I tell what pan I have? As in my first post of this thread I find 2 different numbers and not on the pan itself. One number in raised characters on the case and a different number on tag tacked to the case. I understand Ford has an "Engineering number" as well.
My 07...
Sparky83 Thanks for that.
I fouund out from web surfing that some 2008 models are "Crossover" models. Mine is one of those. The external filter in front of the pan means you have the old style pan. So even tho I have a 2008 model I do not have the newer pan and filter. FORD!:guns:Ok now...
Sparkey83 Great info thanks.
My transmission, according to my code on the door jam says I have a Torqshift.(TR=T)
05/07 MFD. Date
Now on the Transmission case in raised characters it says: RF-8C3P-7006(the 6 may be a zero I can't make it out but looks more like a 6)
Now also on the transmission...
So after watching a bunch of youtube videos on my transmission filter change I ran across a guy "upgrading" his Transmission pan and filter on a 2007 to a 2008 version. He said to get this filter as it was much better: FT-180-8C3Z-7A098-D
When I went to Ford Parts department they gave me this...
