Where can I find LT Headers for a '96 351

I've spent two days searching for a set of long tube headers that will fit a '96 F-350 4X4 w/ a 351, Auto, standard cab. Shorty's are OK but I really have my heart set on a pair of LT's & True Duals. All emission's stuff is going in the garbage can along with the 3ft long catalytic converter :headbang: ...

Does anyone have any idea where to look or am I wasting my time ?

I have used a few sets of long tubes on my 95 F350 5.8 4x4 SCLB, Flowtechs, and Headmans I have used on my 95, Just look for a 95 F350, you will have to weld O2 bungs into the headers or the pipe depending on how your O2s are setup. I dont even think the cat is monitored on his truck, you will have to worry about the egr and air pump stuff.

Just look for a set for an 83-87 351 truck, then add the appropriate bungs to hook your egr and what not. Last I checked, they are $185 plus shipping thru Summit. On a side note, 96-97 F-250/350`s are not OBDII compliant. According to a class I took for Snap-Ons Modus scanner I once took, Ford got an exemption for them. I have also worked on a 97 with a 460, and it was not OBDII.

Maybe the HD trucks didnt have OBD2 yet, I know a 96 Bronco/F150 Does have it.

Yep, 96 Broncos and F-150`s were OBDII. I haven`t personally gazed upon an over 8600 lb truck that was. Does that mean they don`t exist? Nope, as we all know, anything is possible.

Yeah.. you're gonna have to buy a set for a '94 or '95 F350 4x4 with a 5.8 because it's the EXACT same truck as yours. The reason the parts stores don't list anything for your '96 is because they didn't get the memo from the US government that Ford trucks over 8500lb GVWR would continue unchanged until the new SuperDuty truck was introduced in 1998, so they are assuming all '96's are OBD-2. No I'm not kidding this is for real, your F350 truck has the same OBD-1 5.8EFI motor that was installed in all Ford trucks from 1994 on.. excluding the Lightning of course, so any part that fits a '94 or '95 will also fit a '96 or '97 F350.
