Im dealing with my 1990 Ford F-250 and this has been driving me crazy for about two years and id like to fix it this summer so any advice would be greatly apreciated.
After i put a new clutch and pressure plate in my truck every thing seemed to be fine but as soon as i needed 4wheel drive i encountered a problem. when in 4 high the transfer case chatered and made a grinding sound like it was half way between one gear and another or not fully ingaged in high. but if i push the shift lever just a hair forward it works flawlessly. it only does it in four high while four low and 2 high never give me trouble. So far i havent foundnd any adjustments on the shift linkage and its annoying to have to screw around with it whenever i go into four high.
So i just want to know if i messed it up some how when i did the clutch or otherwise, and how i can fix it.
