I hunted with a guy that linexed his hole truck,(toyota) instead of painting it.
Then put a clear coat over it. Didn't look to bad

Yeah...I'm not gonna go that far...haha. I've seen it quite a few times before too, gotta admit it is really cool though. Maybe on a full time trail/mud rig, but this one still sees the street.

I think a rhinolining or a Line-X would look pretty good on that top with the color you want. Probably a bit more $$$$ than you'd like to spend, but it would last for quite some time.
