Some may say that the high boy trucks are better, but in my (and many others) opinion, you have the better truck. Congrats!

And I considered you a friend...pffft.

Seriously though, I'd have to tend to agree. It's easier to swap some springs and gain the height of hb, it's a little more difficult and expensive to gain the lb stuff on a HB.

Although, I'd say the major pro to the HB's are the divorced tcases and they just seem to bear more of a load...maybe that's due to the spring packs????/

This may help you out a little bit.
Here is a picture of my truck with 285/75 R16 BFG A/T's.
My truck is a late '77 (a lowboy) F-250 4x4.

They are mounted on 16x8 white wagon wheel steelies.

As far as load carrying capacity, I've had up to 5,000lbs. of compost in the bed of my truck and it was still 4 inches off of the bump stops. (see pic below)

Of course, my truck has what almost looks like a second pack of leaf springs bolted to the stock set, and set up as overloads. :wasntme:
My truck was set up this way when I got it from it's original owner, who used it to haul a 10 horse gooseneck horse trailer most of it's life.
