throtle lag?

Yes, increasing the voltage on the TPS solved that problem for me, thanks to a really good reference article from Junior.

5.0 2wd. cut off one cat. 5spd. no momotor mods yet. how do i adjust the tps (thats throttle positioning right??) how do i know how much to adjust it??

Some vehicles came with an adjustable TPS, other you might need to
trim the hole out with a dremel to make variable slots...I'll get that link.

Wow, really cool post. :)
Thanks for the link, it kicks butt! :)

You know, it wouldn't hurt to check some stuff like that -before- having
problems. (just my tinkering-nature showing?)

Anyway, how about reducing the throttle cable/pedal slop?

Since I didn't have any split-shot-lead-sinkers I made one from a .38 boolit. :)
Used it as a cable spacer. I put it on the "seat side" of the pedal lever to
raise the pedal off the floor more, since that makes it more-even with the
brake pedal. {edit: seat-side as opposed to firewall-side}

Thread title made me think of it is all. LOL :)

Alvin in AZ is a tinkering fool
ps- The boolit was a full metal jacket I'd picked up (mined!) from a shooting
range, no usable-boolits were injured in the making of the spacer.
