But I also have an F-150. I'm been a long-time member over at the Ford Tempo & Mercury Topaz Car Club of North America (don't laugh), but I figured I ought to find a good Ford truck forum too.
I've got myself a few Fords. First, lemme' introduce my F-150.
Bought it for $3,900 last fall and have since put about $4,000 into it. New motor, nice tires, new speakers, and various maintenance items you'd expect to deal with on a 20-year-old truck with 119,xxx miles on the clock. For its age (and location) its in great shape, if I do say so myself.
I've also got a couple Ford Tempos. A Graphite Metallic 1989 AWD Sedan, and an Oxford White 1990 GL. Seen here.
The '89 has about five grand sunk into it. All restoration items, save for a 3in. rear lift. I've had it for four years, and its been good to me. Mostly electrical/suspension issues, but never any drive-train related problems.
The 1990 Tempo is my "project car". Bought for $100, it was said to have a bad transmission from the seller. It also didn't start. In less than a week and for under $50, I had it running and shifting like new.
