Where did you all get your steering gear boxes? I bought one last summer and it is bad. Course I can't find the receipt from Advance Auto and they won't exchange without receipt. I don't think these rebuilds are any good unless I just got a bad one.

Advance auto offers some of the worst quality rebuilds out there. I too learned the hard way. My current box is from napa and has stood up well so far.

They should have the receipt on their computer. they normally keep them a year here. Not sure if all the stores keep them. Go to the store you bought it at and ask them to pull up your file. then have them print off a copy of the receipt.
