The Hollander interchange manual also lists a C7TZ3504M for 69 - 74 F100 4X4, but does not distinguish between power or manual steering. They do distinguish between power and manual on the 2WD.

Thanks I'm fine now. I was in Red Deer when the request was made.

I just needed the 1st 2 and the last digits

I think I talked them into the Integral P/S swap.

The 74 has a schiller box installed and it was shot .

This and a 77 F250 4x4 were brought up from Cailfornia and they need new steering to pass inspection.

Looks like a purchase from www.thepartsbin.com will be made soon

There is no such thing as a P/S gearbox for a 1974 F100 4WD.

These trucks used Garrison Power Assist P/S, have a P/S control valve and ram cylinder (a similar setup to what early Mustangs used).

The M/S gearbox is used, because it has nothing to do with Power Assist! No vehicle that has Power Assist P/S has a P/S gearbox.

With Power Assist: Pressure/return P/S hoses route from the pump to the control valve. Two short P/S hoses route from the control valve to the ram cylinder. And...that's it.

Power Assist P/S: 1973/75 F100 4WD / 1975 F150 4WD / 1973/76 F250 4WD / 1977 F250 4WD before serial number Y20,001 // 1969/74 Econoline / Myriad 1953/80 Passenger Cars.

1973/77 F250 4WD (High Boys): 1973, 1974's before serial number T80,001 used Garrison P/S / 1974's from serial number T80,001, 1975/76 & 1977's before serial number Y20,001 used Bendix P/S.

Alvin: D3TZ-3A540-C .. Garrison Power Assist P/S Ram Cylinder-1973/75 F100/150 4WD // D3TZ-3A730-B .. Garrison Power Assist P/S Control Valve-1973/75 F100/150 4WD & 1973/74 F250 4WD (1974 before #T80,001).

C7TZ-3504-M .. M/S Gearbox-1967/75 F100 & 1975 F150 4WD's.

There you are, Bill! LOL :)

"as if I knew anything about -any- of that stuff! :/" -Alvin

I was never into 4wd trucks or off-roading them.
I was into dirt bikes, VW based dune buggies and horses.

I saw that cut off for the Garrison vs Bendix tho, so I got
kinda "warm". LOL :)
(better than I ever do looking for my own parts)

Yes I know.

I was on a friend's computer and it appears some text is missing.

at the of the sentence It was supposed to read ...M/S with power assist
or get me the 78 integral PS box #.

Going to fast and not realizing some text was deleted and not reading it after because I had to get off the computer.

I'm home now and everything is great.

Just waiting to hear if they want to do the swap or not.
