Squeeky window

Well my driver window squeeks really bad going up and down. I took the door panel off and tried spraying wd40 on the track and it didnt work. Then I tried some wax and that didnt work really either. Then I tried some grease and that really work either. Has anyone ever have this problem and what have they done to fix it. I think it might be the clip that rides on the track but not sure.

I tried to take the clip off but couldnt get it to come off the window. There is a screw and i took it out and the back of the clip came off but it was still attached to the window some how.
