Rear slider

Rear slider used to be mandatory for throwing the empties in the bed.

I have the original slider that came with my truck , but I cant find the the right size felt the glass slides in.

I have a solid window in my truck now, but scored a free factory slider that I would like to put in. It needs felt though. Does anyone know if there is a kit available for these windows?

I've wanted a slider in mine for a long time--that's the way I would go.

I have contacted several dealers and manufacturers with negative results.

The manufacturer said why would they have replacement felts when they can sell a whole new window ?

You have to be kidding me! My slider (same style as the dentsides) is missing some of the felt. That just plain sucks. I guess we'll have to ***** until DC or somebody else makes it.

Decision made....found an NOS Carlite solid rear window as it was from the factory.

Bwahaha...and, I now have Carlite glass for both the windshield and rear window, the doors and quarter glass were Carlite when I got the truck.

The sliding rear window is the same: 1977/96 F100/350.

While the FoMoCo dealer installed kit is now obsolete, three members on t'other site bought kits I found for them at dealers, and there's a coupla kits still available.

All the individual parts can be found NOS at dealers/obsolete parts vendors.

The glass was never available separately, but...since it's flat, any auto glass shop can cut a new glass from glass stock.
