OMG! A real tech question?!?

my thoughts..........if it aint broke, dont fix it. We seldom have problems with the chains on those. If you've kept up the maintenance, and there isn't any noise (valvetrain noise is the first indicator of problems)

wow...surprised it is worth that much. My brother just bought a 99 taurus for $800. The body has one small crease in the driver side door. You can't see it unless you bend over and look close. He did some tune up work and I think replaced a ball joint (If I heard him correctly).

The interior is not bad (dirty) and it runs well. It has the 4 valve engine too (whatever that is). I don't know how many miles are on it, but for $800......

And isn't $537 a bit much for a set of struts????
Got us some premium ones that'll last longer. :) Ok, so the premium ones were all that was in stock. :( Funny how that works, isn't it?
