Noobie needs help to ID engine

Hello, need a little help with an engine ID. It's in a 1973 short bed step side 4x4. From what I have been able to see it could be one of many , 360, 390, 428, 460?? Can't find any id tag on it. Anybody have any clues? I think I might want to ditch the 2V carb in favor of a new 4v, thoughts?

Can you find the VIN?....we can decode it from there.

Probably a 360 if it is original and a 4bbl won't do a lot of good without other mods like intake/exhaust.

Will get vin and some pics, not @ truck now. It does have headers with a side dump exhaust.

An intake and vac. secondary 600 carb will help. Post the VIN when you can
