Ford has had the Cammer 5.0 available as a crate engine for years now. Its about time they actually use them.

Different engine family. The new ones have larger bore spacing, bigger bearings, a lot of the rest of the design is similar though.

I think DOHC on the GT and sohc on the F150? Maybe dohc for both, but from what I've read about 400hp/400tq for the 'stang and 360/360 for F150.

Why can't they make the GT's have a engine like that and not cost 80 grand.

The new base engine for the GT is the 5.0, for the '11 model year.
