As some of you may know, my truck was hit about 2 months ago. during it's stay at the body shop I decided to have the tailgate painted to match as it was still the original two-tone silver and blue. I can't decide whether I should paint the letters on the tailgate or leave it. Help me decide.

I say leave it blue.

If I really wanted to do something different, I'd think about painting the bossed area (low part) white, and leaving the debossed letters blue...but that'd take a lot of work, and have to be perfect or it would look terrible.

If white was original...leave it as such.

You could also go silver with the letters, not in your face standout, but accents nicely.

I agree with Fellro

Ford made a mistake not having a silver option with the standard white

No paint, get an XLT (I think) Ford panel to go over it.

Harley-Davidson orange!!!!! ha ha...no, don't do that. I like the silver or black

My old man's 84 had orange lettering on a desert sand truck... the only orange on the whole truck was the F O R D on the tailgate...
