???decided to wait on the d/s toolbox??

That was always a add it later deal. after the accident I was originally looking to get a toolbox bed to replace mine. after finding that a bed in the shape of mine can go for $1000 or more I decided it would be better to repair mine and add the tool boxes to both sides later. since the drivers side has already been damaged no harm in cutting it up...right?

On another note this truck gets used hard for work and isn't just a nice old truck. But a nice old truck that gets used. In about five years it will get replaced with a newer quad cab diesel then I will probably strip it and paint the whole thing inside and out. that is when I will add the tool boxes. I already have them.... but I need to make some $$$ with the truck first.

what's that chrome knob do ?

there is a plate that kinda twists on. the knob is keyed so that when the plate and tie downs are tight and in the correct position it doesn't come off.

hope this helps illustrate it. as you can kinda see the top and bottom of the knob are flat. you put the plate on, rotate it 90 degrees up. there is another whole in the top of the plate that has a chain that goes to the camper.
