another good way to reduce the amount on there is to beat the **** out of it when you drive it.

My neighbor has an 07 6.0 that he uses and basically hired me to do his maintanence (its ok because he takes me fishing on his boat on occasion) and every time i change his oil i pull his egr valve and inspect it/clean it. i taught him to add the cetane booster and the best way to "operate" the truck. i change his oil every 3k and fuel filters every 6k. everytime i pull the EGR valve it its the cleanest looking egr valve you ever seen on a 6.0 with 67k miles on it.

i was looking at a 05 6.0 on the lot before i bought my f-150... i'm kinda glad i didn't buy it after maintaining my neighbors
