You sir have a 351W. Ford had 3 different 351's. They had the 351C (Cleveland), which is part of the 335 engine series. They had the 351W (Windsor), which is what you have and part of the small block family. Then there was the red headed step child, the 351M (M??????)...it isn't documented anywhere what the M stands for, but some guys believe it stands for Modified because it's the exact same engine as the 400, just de-stroked. Some people believe it stands for Midland because that's where alot of them came out of. And there are lots of other theories on what the M stands for, personally, I just think it was a marker to differentiate between the C's and W's.
I knew I had a Windsor. I dunno, I was tired. Meant W, honest. :p

What's with the names?

I personally think these names are stupid. They should only be used when there's more than two versions of a displacement.

Those names widsor, cleveland, romeo, etc signify the plant it comes from AFAIK. The 4.6 romeos and windors have some minor internal differences IIRC.

How many F100/350's came with a 351W prior to 1981? N-O-N-E.

How many F100/350's came with a 351C? N-O-N-E. 1970/74 Passenger
Cars/Ranchero's only.

351M: 1975/79 Passenger Cars / 1977/79 F100/350 / 1978/82 Bronco /
1980/82 F150/350 & Econoline.
Cool Bill. :)

Been wondering which 351 went belly-up in the Bowie Signal Foreman's
brand-spankin'-new '77 Ford F250, ever since. :)

Almost everyone at work was a "Chevy guy" so they made a big deal
about "what a piece of crap the new Fords" were. LOL :)
