Well on that year of a truck changing the intake might be a real pain..

Why is that?

Well a intake for a EFI engine isn't cheap not to mention all the stuff you have to take off and reinstall, it can be done just not as easy as a carbed engine...

I wouldn't change the intake...maybe just the induction tubes but not the upper itself...it was cast for low end torque...it's a truck so that's a good thing.......open up the intake and exhaust and you'll be good.....welcome to the site.....enjoy ur stay.....

I know a bit about carb'd engines..Buddy had an 86 Mustang with a 351 Windsor in it that was carb'd and I basically helped him build it up.

well you definately would get alot more power with a carb on it especially if you tune it right.....tons more balls.....you got the door code for the rear end or do you happen to know the gears????

No, I don't have the door code OR what gears it has, I was wondering that myself..and the truck isn't here so I couldn't tell you what the code was.
