Mine's idling fine at about 750rpm (ZF) but would like to
lower it to about 600rpm and see how it drives etc.

Done did that and yeah, returned it to where it was. Adjusting it didn't haveYou can try adjusting the throttle stop screw but remember how much and
which direction you turn it so you can put it back. This may or may not have
any effect...
I guess I'll have to wait to mess with that stuff 'til after I get a laptop and...the computer is supposed to regulate idle speed to about 680rpm via the
IAC valve so it may just override any adjustment you make.
