I unplugged my Cruise control a few years ago after I first got the truck for fear of it burning down...well now being on my feet 10 hours a day is really wearing on me and holding the gas steadily for over 2 hours total everyday is gettin to be bothersome....I realize they have recalls for this(thus the reason for the unplug) however, the recall are getting recalled.I was just wondering if they've actually corrected the problem and have the harness down pat or what.....I'd plug it back in but I happen to like my truck!smilieleghump

Here it is an updated switch and adapter harness. I think it costs about $25.00.

well yea the big thing is they want me to be in there before 3 pm so they can fix it.......I don't get offa work till 3:30...well 5:30 now....gotta love OT.I was reall wondering if they actually had a decent harness out that ould not be ending up gettin recalled. As far as I know recalls don't expire....

recalls can expire, depending if its safety related or not.. the harness is newer and has 2 fuses in it now. The recall on the recall is true, but the harness that was recalled was the single fused harness typically put on the e-series. I dont know why they make a fus about it to you, it literally takes a minute, IF that.. plug it in to one side and the other and zip tie it down, and the zipties are already on the harness!! ive dont a bunch of em already
