How much...

Cool thanks for that. :)

ps- Your numbers helped me find 'em in the fuzzy scan! :)
Notice there's a front/rear weight that needs to be either added or
subtracted from the other, to get the total off-the-truck weight.
-16 on the 133" so... 389 -16= 373#
+8 on the 117" so... 354 +8= 364#
And those figures include the tailgate and hardware, I can weigh a
tailgate and hardware separate easy enough if anyone is interested.

Alvin, I'm reading the 354 and 389 as TOTAL weight since the column is divided into Front/Total weights?

Exactly what you said :) except for the fact that sometimes there's
a subtracted weight on the other end of the truck. Ford was sloppier
with this table than their older tables. :/

They don't show the minus 1 pound in the rear for A/C for example,
like they did in the past...

-------------------------------

At one point I had added 322 pounds of lead to the rear bumper...

...that took 120 pounds off the front tires and added 442 pounds
of effective weight to the rear axle for added traction, all at the
same time. :)

I've since removed the two 65 pound center weights (+hardware)
leaving 190 pounds.

There is a slight amount of added effect to the two weights that
are left because they are thinner and so their centers are an inch
father back fro the center of the rear axle. LOL :)

I didn't memorize the new "lift" I'm getting with the 190 pounds. :/

ps- Need to rescan that with a red piece of paper behind it. ;)

I got more weight than that out of a badly rusted 94 short bed I scrapped
couple months ago . but 2 people can get them off truck

Ok, found my notes on that crazy -lead in the bumper business-.
(one of my favorite modifications BTW!)

From the center of the rear axle to the center of lead weight is...
48+1/4" for the thinner side weights
47+1/4" for the thicker center weights

With a 133" wheel base...
95 + 95 = 190 total and takes 72 pounds off the front.
66 + 66 = 132 total and takes 48 pounds off the front.

What's so cool about it is how much better it rides from the reduced
rear end bucking an empty bed pickup has. Better traction climbing
steep spots on dirt "trails" and the reduction of the sorry sucker to
want to "dance sideways" on high speed dirt roads. Shorter stopping
distance on dirt.

Lots of dirt road miles on my '75 F150! Believe it? ;)
