It's not an easy job, and the only way I've been able to get them to budge is with a come-a-long.

Couple of different methods... if you're using the come-a-long, remove the shock too (just a little more flexibility). My favorite (only if you're good with a torch) cut the rivets off with a torch (on the bracket), drive out the remains, then replace the rivets with grade 8 bolts.

I agree with the remove the rivets method but i used a grinder to remove the heads then replaced them with grade 8 bolts. This makes it easier to service in the future and also will help when I install my lift. But the whole setup sucks to begin with...

That's what we're here for...glad you got it all worked out.

...got it but i had to remove the sway bar to get enough movement...
LOL :)
Yeah, it takes me longer when I get in a hurry too! :)

My power steering gear is leaking again, can you tell...? ;)

I used flywheel bolts and 7/16" lug nuts turned upside down...

My suggestion is to -not use washers- and especially those
stinkin' split-ring "lock"" washers. Ford didn't in places like that
and so shouldn't you neither? ;)

My July '91 Bronco's right side radius arm bracket was riveted
with only one rivet and the rest bolted on at the factory. They
used flanged head bolts and flanged nuts and no washers. :)
