Heater/AC problems

I have a 99 F-150 4x4. Unable to switch from heat to AC. I feel it is a problem with the door under dash as the vaccum lines appear okay. Any ideas?

probably a blend door or the actuator. if it is the door it is pretty intrusive with dash removal, but the actuator can be serviced easily.

Where is the door located? It sounds like it is in the center of the dashboard area. Thanks for the help.

the door is relatively in the center, but to gain acess you have to pull the dash and partially dissassemble the evaporator case.

If I were you i'd remove the blend door motor and attempt to move the door manualy to see if it's stuck or binding, also plug the motor in and switch temp modes to check the motor operation. PM me your email address I should be able to send you the removal procedure.
