Gas gauge re-wiring

Can any one help me on how to re wire my gas gauge to an aftermarket gas gauge i know that its run off of ohms but dint you need a 12 volt supply? Any help would be appreciated!!

The 12 volt in the dash is the supply, so for an aftermarket you will need a key live 12V supply. You need a wiring diagram for the gauge, and also need to be certain the sending unit is the proper unit for that gauge.

It is 12 volts to the ICVR from there it is a pulsing 5 Volts that runs the gauges
