fuel pump help

im putting in an eletric fuel pump in my truck do i need a cover for the old fuel pump on my block???

We always just left the old fuel pump on when we converted to a electric one.

it doesnt harm anything just leaving it in

No it doesn't hurt a thing. you could make a plate and gasket just remove it but it shouldn't hurt a think if left on.

If you leave the old on in place, put a little oil in it, and run a hose from the output port to the input port. This will keep the valves in it from going bad, just incase it is needed later.
