Fuel Gauge

Now that I am able to do some work on the truck again, I figured I would fix one thing first. Seems the PO had trouble with the fuel gauge. There was a yellow wire that ran up behind the dash and I mistakenly kicked it. I traced it back to the gas tank where it was spliced to the level sender. It has been months since the gauge worked. I don't know what the guy had the yellow wire alligator clipped to. Anyone have the schematic?

Sounds like that may have just been a ground or something, but yeah exposed alligator clips aren't the way for someone to "fix" something. The PO of mine had hacked into the wiring and had crimp connectors all over so took all the wiring out, cut out the crimped wires and soldered in new pieces and put heat shrink around the wiring.
