Ken and I discussed this copyright material at length years ago.

Ford got involved and it ended up under the FAIR USE clause because literature was over 30 years old.

I discussed it with Ford marketing and others in a meeting in 2003.
Their feeling was....we don't care. .if it helps keep the name FORD in the minds of people who own a Ford or are thinking of buying another Ford product ......great.

Copyright is meant for more critical things than...scanning and posting Ford literature that they have already received money for.
Ford legal should never have bothered anyone for 10 + years literature.

Like i stated. .."Courtesy of" ... does not take anything away from Ford when the material is basically considered obsolete.

No one was profiting from it AFAIK.
Fair use.

Dennis...you have been around long enough to know that unless you have something written and signed, that going off what someone said won't hold any water.

I stand by what I said, and that applies to anyone doing it.

It's just people trying to get credit for ego purposes. If you want to serve your fellow man, serve them. If you want people blowing smoke up your backside to make yourself feel important.... whatever.

I like my watermarking when i scan literature that i bought.

I had 100's of images a few people led people to believe they were theirs.
I know some of these people that you're referring to...but I'm not one of them!

I sent you a return email inre to the Mustang question you asked me about.
