i have a 76 highboy with a 360 that i am going to change the crank and rods for a 390 but what im wondering is how fender flares look on a dentside pictures and encouraged

I'm not a fan of flares on any vehicle...and think the pocket style bushwacker flares (which aren't produced anymore) are ridiculous. I mainly feel the flares detract from the body lines. Now if you're just looking for clearance on a mud/trail rig...why not.

my fenders are rusted out on the edge of the wheel wells so im trying to figure out a way other than new tin to fix it

Cut it, trim it, glass it, bondo it or reskin it. Those are just about the only ways I know to combat rust. Although, I did know a guy that paper mache'd over a few rust holes too...didn't work out very well.

The rods are the same. You need the crank & pistons.

You need the crank & pistons.

No they ain't.
330MD & 360FE = 6.540"
And they are weaker rods that the shorter ones.
361FT, 391FT & 390FE = 6.490"

360FE pistons -can be- used tho if you want to raise the compression.

Are you the same "know-it-all Money Pit" from FTE?
