can you eliminate the cats on a 94 f150 with 5.8l without any problems. emissions in not a problem here



Sure...as long as you're sure emissions aren't a problem. I eliminated them on my '96.
 
do you need to do anything special other than cutting them out and replacing with pipe?

Depending on what year truck you have, the O2 sensor may be in the cat, so you would have to deal with that if that was the case.

On a 94 you won't have an o2 sensor in the cat. If you're comfortable with spewing a few more emissions (and sure that you don't need to be smog tested) then gutting/removing the cats won't hurt anything.

The o2 is just before the cats, removing them is easy. Ask me how i know...
