F150 sitting..

Thanks to each of you for the advice. There were only 'fumes' in the tank, so it stalled after a few minutes. I added some dry gas and Lucas efi cleaner to five gallons of gas. No sign of water/varnish. The gas tank (secondary) leaks a bit...the primary leaks badly from somewhere around the fuel pump. Will gamble a bit on the hoses and belts until funds allow. Road test tomorrow! Funny thing, I was under an old F150 at the U-Pull yard removing a spare tire anchor bar, when I pushed too hard on one of the anchor bolts. Knocked the d***** thing off its rear support--it fell and the exhaust pipe smacked me in the head! Luckily the truck still had all it's tires; it didn't fall too far or I'd been part of the crushed stone I was laying on. Any other recommendations that come to mind, I'd appreciate hearing them.

Always be extra observant when at the wreckers! lots of hazards that can get you! The big rule I live by is never max out when wrenching, of course I found out the hard way
