Explorer Rear End Swap ?

I was at Pull A Part today and looked at the rear end of a Explorer that had disc brakes. Were they all 8.8 rear ends, and will they fit Gen 8-9 trucks?

wont work. they are to narrow.

Too narrow and wrong lug pattern....

But if it's a 8.8 rear with posi and disc brakes all the parts should swap over with the exception of the axles and housing.

I'm not 100% if the gears and carriers are the same. I'd imagine they are, but don't take my word for it.
