does the v8 stock manifold to pipe flange have a gasket? i think i remember pulling one out of mine but im not sure and everything is closed today so....

No it does not. These exhaust systems use a ball and socket type flange.

rub some white grease on the mating surfaces. That will help it seat properly, and the grease will just burn off.

Just bolt 'er down tight and call it a day. No gasket required!
