I had plans this summer to build a kinda rat rod redneck 78 2wd reg cab with a flat deck. I have most the parts to do it. A 75 frame with a 390(so I've been told) 4 speed. A decent cab, tons of doors to choose from, fenders, yada yada yada, all the big stuff lets say to put something together. I wanted to do it for about $1000-$1500. Brakes, exhaust, and whatever parts may creep up that
I might need. But instead, the bottom end of my outboard decided to let go and is costing me a cool $1200 to have it fixed. My truck budget. Every time I scrounge money together to try and attempt somewhat of a build, something else creeps up and squashes my dream. I hope the fish are biting this summer, so I know I've made the right decision.
