I just run a pair of 24F's no isolator, works just fine for the 9500#winch and aux lights.

That will be fine for increasing CCA and reserve capacity...but offers no protection for starting your vehicle. Effectively isolating each battery (or groups) will ensure you can always be able to turn your engine over.
